Snackademy RATIONALE
Dates are high in fibre to support a regular bowel movement, they contain prebiotics to feed beneficial bacteria. Cacao powder contains antioxidants and essential minerals, including iron, magnesium and potassium.
INGREDIENTS
- 10 dates
- ¼ cup (30g) almond flour or oat flour
- ¼ cup (50g) cacao powder
- 2 tbsp tahini or almond butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- Pinch of salt
Chocolate layer
- 50g dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp tahini or almond butter
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add the brownie ingredients to a food processor and blend until it all comes together. Spoon the mixture into a small lined tray and press down.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and mix in the tahini/almond butter and then pour over the top of the brownie base and pop into the fridge until firm.
3. Cut into around 8 squares and can be kept in the fridge for up to a week.
